540z reborn!

Posted on June 17, 2009 by in In the Garage

My old 240z dubbed “Project Anger” that I mentioned previously is finally up and rumbling again, now owned by my buddy Cody.  You can hear its raunchy, stumbling idle over here with my good friend Nathan narrating:

It’s now a 570z (5.7l 350ci Small Block Chevy) and I must admit that it sounds pretty angry running open headers.  I’m excited to get back up there and throw myself into working on it again, but don’t want to take too big a detour from my own project that I’m trying to get on the road.  For now, I’m inspired by hearing it run again.

There’s a certain satisfaction to knowing that one of the projects that you previously loved and had to part with is being taken care of.  Cody has soldiered on and I have to give due credit to Gollum, who’s fought tooth and nail through this project ever since it left my hands to make sure it didn’t sit stagnant (too long).

With the amount of work still needed, I think Cody and I may end up splitting a parts car sometime in the near future.  It’d be a good idea for the both of us, and would give us an excuse to work on ’em together.
